Job Summary:
VocoVision is hiring a committed and empathetic Virtual School Social Worker. This part-time role requires 3 days a week and offers the chance to support students in emotional and autism support programs across various educational settings. The position involves providing social work services for high school students in a center-based program and supporting those in Pineapple Programs, REAL, and WASC initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver virtual social work services to high school students (grades 9-12) in emotional and autism support programs (1.5 days at Tunkhannock Area School District).
Provide counseling, emotional support, and interventions for students in Pineapple Programs, REAL, and WASC programs (1.5 days).
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student emotional well-being and academic achievement.
Assist in developing and executing individualized support plans for students, focusing on emotional and behavioral challenges.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of services and student progress.
Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary.
Qualifications:
Required: Pennsylvania School Social Worker Certification, or Emergency Certification (if applicable).
Experience working with high school students in emotional support, autism support, or other special education settings.
Strong communication, organizational, and virtual collaboration skills.
Ability to begin work immediately.
Work Schedule:
3 days per week (1.5 days at one site for emotional and autism support, and 1.5 days at another site).
