The Sales Director (Financial Services Background) position focuses on sourcing, nurturing, and closing new clients primarily from your network and industry. This hunter role emphasizes building strong relationships with midsize to enterprise-level clients, with primary focus on Financial Services including Banking, Insurance, Fintech, and Investment Management.

Key responsibilities:

Hunting:

- Building strong, long-lasting relationships with midsize to enterprise-level clients, with a remit across industries and a primary focus on Financial Services (Banking, Insurance, Fintech, and Investment Management) industries.

- Originating and nurturing business relationships resulting in engagement opportunities.

- Presenting unique value propositions tailored to the needs of potential clients' senior executives.

- Developing strong, long-lasting relationships with potential clients.

Project Management:

- Scoping projects, shaping engagements, and helping define business solutions that satisfy client needs and achieve desired business outcomes.

- Planning, implementing, and managing lead generation, sales activities, and pipelines to meet annual revenue targets and business goals.

- Planning resources, organizing and mobilizing teams (including solution design, UX, technical, engagement management, staffing, and delivery teams) throughout complex sales cycles.

- Understanding and assisting in managing and mitigating key risks through tactical plans and actions.

Requirements:

- Industry Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services sectors with exposure to technology solutions and digital transformation initiatives.

- Business Development: Strong experience in business development, institutional sales, relationship management, or client advisory within the financial services sector.

- Sales Success: Proven success in sourcing, nurturing, and closing midsize and Enterprise accounts within financial services or institutional markets.

- Industry Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the Financial Services industry, including key players, strategies, client structure, business models, sub-verticals, needs, challenges, and key trends.

- Strategic Approach: Demonstrated strategic, creative, and analytical approach with a focus on initiating and building client relationships.

- Technical Understanding: Strong understanding of financial systems, regulatory compliance technology, trading platforms, and technological challenges commonly faced in the financial services industry.

- Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver compelling presentations tailored to potential clients' needs.

- Work Style: Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

- Organization: Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

- Language Skills: Native English or fully bilingual (English).
