(Remote Role) Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

We are actively hiring a qualified and certified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a fully remote position supporting clients and students in the Los Angeles, CA area. As a vital communication bridge, you will facilitate conversations between deaf/hard-of-hearing individuals and hearing participants in a variety of professional and educational settings.

Key Responsibilities
Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL), and vice versa, during virtual meetings or sessions.
Accurately convey tone, intent, and content between all parties involved.
Maintain impartiality and confidentiality at all times.
Prepare in advance by reviewing session material or client documentation when provided.
Provide real-time interpreting in remote classroom, workplace, or service environments.
Collaborate with coordinators, educators, and team members to ensure quality interpretation.
Qualifications
Certification from RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in ASL interpreting.
Experience with educational, healthcare, or corporate interpreting preferred.
Proficient with remote video platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Strong ethical standards and familiarity with interpreter code of conduct.
Reliable internet and home setup for remote interpreting work.
