Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Taras Technology LLC is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer with previous Verizon experience. The role involves designing and enhancing telephony networks while coordinating with various departments and directly interacting with customers. Responsibilities • The Outside Plant Engineer position is responsible for designing additions, upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the Outside Plant electronics telephony network which includes all structures (such as poles and conduit systems), cable (copper & fiber) and associated equipment for aerial, underground, buried, and customer premise equipment • The Engineer will coordinate with a variety of Client departments and also have direct customer contact with builders, building managers, property owners, and residential and business end users Skills • Must have previous Verizon Experience • Bachelor degree in Engineering or technical/science/mathematics fields • Proficient computer skills (windows-based programs and corporate database systems) • Superior analytical, communication, and leadership skills • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously • Solid written and oral communications skills are necessary • Prior working experience and basic knowledge of telecom Outside Plant Engineering Practices and systems such as Telcordia systems LFACs, Switch, LEIS and Tirks • Experience with the CAD programs as well as high proficiency with MS Excel and/or MS Access Company Overview • An industry leader in IT consulting, services, and healthcare staffing, we specialize in delivering simple, elegant solutions tailored to your business needs.
