Position Summary
The Remote Registered Dietitian provides virtual Medical Nutrition Therapy and evidence‑based nutrition counseling to clients through secure telehealth platforms. This role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, developing individualized care plans, and supporting clients in achieving sustainable health outcomes. The dietitian collaborates with interdisciplinary teams as needed and maintains accurate, timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Consultation & Patient Management

Conduct comprehensive virtual nutrition assessments, including medical history, dietary patterns, and lifestyle factors.
Deliver individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy for conditions such as weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and other chronic conditions.
Develop personalized nutrition care plans aligned with client goals and clinical needs.
Provide ongoing education and behavior‑change counseling using evidence‑based strategies.
Facilitate telehealth sessions via video, phone, or secure messaging.
Document all encounters in the electronic health record according to organizational and regulatory requirements.
Communicate and collaborate with physicians, care coordinators, therapists, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and professional practice standards.
Participate in team meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Current state licensure (or eligibility) for all states in which services will be provided.
Strong knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy and evidence‑based practice.
Excellent communication skills and comfort with telehealth technology.
Ability to work independently, manage a virtual caseload, and maintain organized documentation.
Requires reliable internet connection and a private, professional workspace.


Preferred Qualifications

Fully remote capability using HIPAA‑compliant telehealth systems.
Flexible scheduling options depending on organizational needs.
Experience with motivational interviewing or behavior‑change counseling.
Specialized certifications such as CDCES, CSOWM, CNSC, or others relevant to the population served.
