REMOTE - Region Director, Sales - Laboratory (Distribution & Products)

We provide hospital labs, independent labs, and physician office labs access to thousands of products from hundreds of manufacturers including thousands of Cardinal Health brand products that provide our customers the savings they need. The Regional Sales Director, Laboratory is responsible for leading a team of sales reps who are tasked to drive revenue and profitability to new and existing customers. Collaboration and people leadership are key attributes required for success in this role. This leader will direct a team of 5 (located in Minnestoa, Wisconsin, and the Dakota's) and closely collaborate with 5 regional sales directors who each lead a team of similar size and aligned goals. Responsibility: • Responsible for driving growth within the region for Lab business across both distribution services and laboratory products. • Foster a high-performance culture though robust performance management and talent development. Fosters and supports effective teamwork, accountability and innovation. • Act as a change agent by leading change and helping others to understand and implement change to ensure business objectives are met. • Remove barriers for team through cross-functional relationships. • Prepare regular reports and analysis including business plans, customer correspondence, budget/expenses and others. • Manage & enhance key customer relationships • Collaborate across Cardinal Health to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes within the segment. • Demonstrate professional development initiatives: keep abreast of competitive landscape, market insights, and effectively communicate across key internal and external stakeholders. • Support & execute business unit initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • 8+ years healthcare sales experience in distribution, Medical/Laboratory products preferred. • Knowledge of clinical laboratory market and diagnostic testing, strongly preferred • Successful track record of exceeding sales targets and growing market share within defined region • Proven leadership capabilities, including ability to manage diverse personalities/skill sets in a changing environment. Strong ability to develop relationships internally and externally at all levels up to and including C-Suite • Excellent planning, forecasting, financial and negotiation skills • Demonstrated matrix management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams • Executive presence and solid presentation and communication capabilities • Live within the region and can travel 50% domestically, booking travel according to Cardinal Health’s travel policy. • Customer/Vendor credentialing may be required (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected. • Ability to work remotely from home/field requires a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. We will provide you with the computer, technology and equipment needed to successfully perform your job. You will be responsible for providing high-speed internet. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
