[Remote] Real Estate Finance Counsel
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Axiom is a leader in alternative legal services, and they are seeking a Real Estate Finance Counsel to join their Financial Services and Real Estate team. In this role, you will provide legal advice and support in commercial real estate and finance, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk while collaborating with clients on various transactions.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate finance documents, loan agreements, mortgage-backed securities contracts, and lease financing agreements
ā¢ Providing legal guidance on CMBS transactions, FHA and HUD regulatory compliance, and property-level due diligence
ā¢ Collaborating with internal legal, finance, and risk teams, as well as external counsel and financial institutions, on real estate finance and joint venture transactions
ā¢ Managing real estate finance, regulatory, and transactional legal issues for clients in commercial property, investment, and development sectors
ā¢ Staying ahead of industry trends, FHA/HUD regulations, and market developments to provide proactive counsel
Skills
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance or structured real estate transactions
ā¢ Strong knowledge of CMBS, mortgage-backed securities, FHA/HUD regulations, LTV analysis, and lease financing structures
ā¢ Proven track record of advising clients on commercial real estate finance transactions, joint ventures, and compliance matters
ā¢ Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills
ā¢ Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction
ā¢ Experience with property-level due diligence, international or cross-border real estate transactions, and structured finance matters
ā¢ Familiarity with real estate investment trusts (REITs) or capital markets transactions
