[Remote] Quotation, Pricing, and Operations Coordinator (Ocean Freight)

Expedock is a logistics solutions provider, and they are seeking a Quotation, Pricing, and Operations Coordinator (Ocean Freight) to enhance their service delivery. In this role, you will manage ocean freight quotations, coordinate operations for shipments, and liaise with clients and agents to ensure seamless logistics execution. Responsibilities • Prepare, verify, and issue ocean freight quotations within an average of 3–4 hours, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. • Maintain updated ocean freight rate sheets (FCL and LCL) including freight rates, surcharges, terminal handling charges, and destination fees. • Coordinate with carriers, NVOCCs, and overseas agents to obtain best rates and service options. • Track market trends and proactively update management with competitive pricing insights. • Ensure quotes align with customer requirements and company pricing policies. • Coordinate daily operations for FCL and LCL shipments, including booking space, issuing bills of lading, and confirming carrier cut-offs. • Track shipments end-to-end, ensuring on-time departures/arrivals, and provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders. • Prepare and manage required customs documentation and ensure compliance with UAE and international trade regulations. • Support the Dubai branch with operational execution, resolving exceptions or delays promptly. • Maintain compliance with FIATA standards, Dubai Customs, and UAE port regulations. • Act as the point of contact for incoming seafreight inquiries, providing timely responses and updates. • Build strong relationships with local carriers, suppliers, and overseas agents to secure competitive rates and reliable services. • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align pricing strategies with customer requirements. • Manage follow-ups on quotations to maximize conversion and improve customer satisfaction. • Oversee local carrier and agent agreements; highlight expiring contracts and support renegotiation. • Ensure all operational and pricing activities follow company SOPs and industry best practices. • Maintain accurate records of contracts, quotes, and operational files for audit and compliance purposes. Skills • Intensive experience in ocean freight pricing and operations within a freight forwarding or NVOCC environment. • Strong knowledge of seafreight documentation, INCOTERMS, and carrier/NVOCC procedures. • Familiarity with UAE customs processes, free zone regulations, and local port operations (Jebel Ali, Khalifa, Sharjah, etc.). • Experience with freight forwarding systems (CargoWise preferred). • Proven skills in preparing accurate and competitive seafreight quotations. • Proven skills in managing FCL and LCL shipments. • Proven skills in customs documentation coordination. • Proven skills in carrier/agent negotiation and relationship management. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus. • High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work under tight deadlines. • Experience with freight forwarding systems (CargoWise preferred). • Arabic proficiency is a plus.
