We are seeking a skilled Project Manager II to enhance our Research & Collaboration (R&C) team's project management infrastructure and provide ongoing support for high-priority, complex projects.

Position Details
Ā Title: Project Manager 2
Ā Location: Remote
Ā Hours: Part-time, 20 hours/week (Monday-Friday)
Ā Duration: 12+ months
Key Responsibilities
Ā Assess and enhance existing project management practices:
Ā Evaluate current PM practices for effectiveness and areas of improvement
Ā Develop new PM procedures, materials, and implementation plans
Ā Provide ongoing project management for team portfolio:
Ā Identify high-priority projects requiring PM support
Ā Execute PM tasks for selected projects
Specific Tasks
Part 1: Assessment and Enhancement
Ā Meet with team leadership to understand existing PM approaches
Ā Analyze current practices and identify areas for improvement
Ā Develop implementation plans for new procedures and materials
Part 2: Ongoing Project Management
Ā Collaborate with team leadership to identify and prioritize complex projects
Ā Establish PM support for selected projects
Ā Carry out ongoing project management throughout the engagement
Deliverables
Ā Analysis of current PM practices with recommendations
Ā Revised Project Management Procedures
Ā New PM documents, including a Project Plan Template
Ā Project Prioritization List
Ā Project Plans for prioritized projects
Qualifications
Ā Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Ā Minimum 2-4 years of related experience
Ā Strong project management skills and experience with complex projects
Ā Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ā Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ā Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Information
Ā Overtime may be available with prior approval for hours worked beyond 35 per week
Ā This position plays a crucial role in supporting agencies' use of emerging technology
