Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Program Associate, primarily focusing on the Cleveland area of Ohio. This role is integral to our mission of empowering educators and students to navigate complex social issues such as racism, antisemitism, and other forms of discrimination through impactful educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Ā• Facilitate Professional Learning: Conduct engaging in-person and virtual workshops and seminars for educators and school leaders.
Ā• Build Partnerships: Attract new schools and districts to adopt our programs through introductory sessions and establish enduring partnerships that promote curriculum and professional learning agreements.
Ā• Cultivate Relationships: Maintain and document open lines of communication with educators and school/district leaders, ensuring a collaborative approach to professional development.

Required Skills
Ā• Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities.
Ā• Strong familiarity with social-emotional learning, school culture, and civic education.
Ā• Experience with culturally responsive teaching and equity initiatives.
Ā• Proficiency in designing and implementing technology-enabled professional learning experiences across various platforms.
Ā• Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for managing multiple projects effectively.
Ā• A growth mindset, demonstrating eagerness to learn and reflect on experiences.
Ā• Ability to articulate our mission to diverse audiences with clarity.

Qualifications
Ā• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Ā• Minimum of 5 years of secondary classroom teaching experience (grades 7-12).
Ā• At least 3 years of experience in leading professional development and/or coaching in educational settings.
Ā• Knowledge of a humanities-based content area, such as U.S. history or English Language Arts, is preferred.
