[Remote] Principal Engineer – Kubernetes & Distributed Systems

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Work Vista is seeking a Principal Engineer to build the foundational infrastructure for self-driving technology. This role involves architecting and leading the development of scalable, distributed infrastructure services, mentoring engineers, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance autonomous system development. Responsibilities • Architect and lead the development of highly scalable, distributed infrastructure services running on Kubernetes • Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for the platform, making high-impact architectural decisions • Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and technical leadership • Remain hands-on by building and deploying complex systems, including: • High-throughput data processing services • Core compute orchestration and scheduling platforms • Partner cross-functionally with ML, data, and simulation teams to accelerate autonomous system development Skills • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field • Strong, hands-on Kubernetes (K8s) experience is required • Proven track record designing, building, and operating production services at scale • Demonstrated experience building large-scale distributed infrastructure • Deep understanding of reliability, throughput, fault tolerance, and scalability challenges • Expertise in Python, Go, or a similar systems language • Experience working with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through production Benefits • Medical • Dental • Vision • Retirement plans • Paid time off • Other competitive perks Company Overview • JobLift Media is a performance-driven recruitment-marketing studio helping companies amplify their talent reach through creative media, precision targeting, and employer-brand storytelling.It was founded in undefined, and is headquartered in, with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
