Reporting directly to a certificated preschool teacher, you will deliver targeted instruction, monitor progress, and serve as a trusted liaison between students, families, and the broader instructional team. This role is perfect for educators who are passionate about early childhood development, love working with children who have diverse abilities, and thrive in a collaborative, technology‑enabled environment.Because this position is classified as “Immediate Hire,” we are looking for candidates who can start quickly and make an instant, positive impact on our students’ educational journeys.Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every DayInstructional Support• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring to preschool‑aged children, focusing on core literacy, numeracy, and social‑emotional skills.• Implement evidence‑based instructional strategies directed by the lead teacher, adapting lessons to meet individual IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of student progress, using ACS’s digital learning management system.• Assist in the preparation, delivery, and scoring of diagnostic assessments, including English proficiency tests and developmental screenings.• Support the execution of classroom routines—such as circle time, transition periods, and snack breaks—ensuring a structured, predictable environment for all learners.Collaboration & Communication• Participate actively in remediation and IEP teams, sharing observations and data to inform instructional adjustments.• Develop and sustain positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular check‑ins, progress reports, and home‑visit opportunities when needed.• Coordinate with allied service providers (e.g., speech‑language pathologists, occupational therapists) to integrate therapeutic recommendations into daily instruction.• Serve as a resource for other staff members, offering guidance on best practices for supporting children with disabilities.Classroom Management & Safety• Monitor student behavior using ACS’s behavior‑intervention framework, documenting incidents and reporting trends to the lead teacher.• Facilitate safe transitions during activities such as field trips, playground time, and transportation to and from school bus stops.• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation of classroom materials and emergency drill participation.• Assist students with personal care tasks—such as donning coats, using the restroom, and navigating mobility challenges—while promoting independence.Administrative & Technical Support• Prepare and organize instructional materials, visual displays, and technology equipment (e.g., tablets, interactive whiteboards).• Perform routine clerical duties: attendance tracking, copy‑machine operation, inventory management of supplies, and distribution of classroom resources.• Operate audio‑visual and educational training equipment to enhance lesson delivery.• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that reflects ACS’s standards of excellence.Essential Qualifications – What You Need to Succeed• Education: Minimum of 60 credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university, an Associate’s degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field, OR successful completion of the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA) before hire.• Experience: At least one year of hands‑on experience supporting preschool children, preferably in inclusive or special‑needs settings.• Technical Skills: Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and familiarity with classroom technology platforms (e.g., Seesaw, Canvas, or similar LMS).• Communication: Strong oral and written communication abilities; comfort interacting with families, educators, and community partners.• Interpersonal Skills: Patience, empathy, and the ability t
