Location: Matteson, IL (Hybrid) locals Only
Duration: 6+ months Contract JOB DESCRIPTION
About the job
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create complex calculations, measures, and custom visualizations.
Design, develop, and maintain M scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Integrate data from various sources, including databases, Excel, and cloud services.
Experience with SSIS for data integration.
Work with Excel to manipulate and analyze data, creating pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
Manage and optimize Power BI datasets, including data modeling, relationships, and data refresh schedules.
Develop and maintain paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.
Ensure reports are well-formatted and meet business requirements for printed or exported formats.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Provide support and training to end-users on Power BI and other reporting tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and datasets.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience as a Power BI Developer
Proven experience with Power BI, including DAX, M Language, and Power Query in Power BI or Excel.
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and backend ETL processes.
3+ years of T-SQL experience (writing/ executing queries) for effective data retrieval and data validation
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and advanced formulas.
Experience with Power BI Premium and Power BI Service.
Familiarity with Azure cloud
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to have:
Oracle ERP experience.
