Key Responsibilities
 Team Leadership: Guide staffing recommendations, conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and assign work tasks to ensure the team remains motivated and valued.
 Service Delivery: Manage daily operations related to database functions, ensuring exemplary service and support standards.
 Project Management: Oversee project-related initiatives, working closely with both internal teams and external project management professionals to manage project tasks effectively.
 Vendor Relations: Handle vendor partnerships, aiding in selection processes, contract negotiations, and review of statements of work (SOW).
 Process Improvement: Follow established policies while actively seeking to enhance current ITIL processes, including service requests, incident management, and change management.
 Technology Solutions: Assess and recommend technology solutions, engaging in decision-making regarding purchases, development, and implementation.
 Strategic Planning: Contribute to both operational and tactical planning relevant to your functional area.
Required Skills
 Excellent verbal and written communication proficiency.
 Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to prioritize and manage numerous initiatives.
 Analytical mindset with a robust problem-solving approach and sound judgment.
 Proficient in managing relational database systems, specifically SQL Server and DB2 (z/OS and Distributed).
 Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
 Quick to identify and resolve team-related challenges.
 Ability to align team and individual objectives with ITÂs strategic vision.
 Self-driven with a creative approach to problem-solving.
 Collaborative and open-minded, demonstrating a strong commitment to teamwork and timely task completion.
 Proactive in discovering areas for enhancement and formulating actionable strategies.
Qualifications
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
 ITIL Foundation certification.
