[Remote-Position] Data Analyst (Linguistics), Remote Job
We're looking for a high-impact individual to join our team as a Data Analyst, Remote! This Remote position offers an immediate start for the right candidate. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. The salary for this position is set at a competitive salary. Â Â As a Data Analyst on the Linguistics Team, you will be responsible for managing languages assigned to you based on your fluency. Your role involves developing and maintaining these languages to meet Lightcast standards and supporting the creation of new features for various products.
Major Responsibilities:
 Analyze and improve data quality of multilingual text classifiers
 Work with linguistics and engineering teams to build out new parsers across languages
 Translate various taxonomies such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations
 Create crosswalks from origin language titles and skills to Lightcast taxonomies
 Use SQL for data handling and database management
Education and Experience:
 Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or a related field (preferred)
 Familiarity with multinational labor markets (preferred)Strong expertise in linguistics
 Proficiency in three or more languages
 Solid understanding of syntax and language structure analysis
 Experience with... Microsoft Excel (vlookups, data cleaning, functions)
 Knowledge of query languages like SQL
 Understanding of text analysis and machine learning principles
 Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel or Python
 Proficiency in using RegEx
