This position is classified as a touch freight role, meaning that the driver will be responsible for not only transporting products but also for unloading and organizing them at the destination. The primary focus is on ensuring that all products are displayed according to company standards, which includes merchandising shelves, racks, equipment, and displays effectively. On a typical day, the Delivery Merchandiser will transport and unload products to various retail outlets, ensuring that all products are merchandised inside the outlet to meet Coca-Cola's standards. This role requires collaboration with the Sales Supervisor to execute the company's vision of success, which involves establishing positive relationships with customers and providing exceptional customer service. The position also entails providing feedback and recommendations to leadership regarding competitive threats and business opportunities as they arise. The Delivery Merchandiser must maintain effective communication with all functional team members and be proactive in addressing any store-level issues with management. Compliance with DOT rules for driving is essential, as is the ability to maintain rapport with customers. The role includes responsibilities such as collecting any breakage or out-of-date products, ensuring accurate accounting for all cases and customer transactions, and maintaining the proper care of products and equipment. Additionally, the Delivery Merchandiser will assist in training and coaching new delivery merchandiser trainees, helping to build strong relationships with the customer base across assigned customers. Overall, this position is crucial for maintaining the quality and presentation of Coca-Cola products in retail environments.

Responsibilities
• Transports and unloads products to retail outlets
,
• Responsible for merchandising all product inside the outlet to Company standards
,
• Works in partnership with the Sales Supervisor to execute the picture of success
,
• Establish positive relationships with all customers and provide superior customer service
,
• Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities
,
• Ability to work with all functional team members
,
• Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays
,
• Communicates any store level issue to management
,
• Complies with DOT rules for driving purposes
,
• Maintains rapport with customers
,
• Collection of any breakage or out of date product, including empty shells and pallets
,
• Accurate accounting for all cases and customer transactions
,
• Ensure proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement daily
,
• Deliver, rotate, and merchandise product on shelf, displays and all cold equipment
,
• Maintains backstock in an organized manner
,
• Keeps coolers, racks, and shelves clean
,
• Assist with training, coaching, succession planning of any delivery merchandiser trainees
,
• Build strong relationships with customer base across assigned customers
,
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

Requirements
• Valid CDL license
,
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items
,
• Strong customer service skills
,
• Excellent communication skills
,
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
,
• Basic math skills for accounting and inventory management
