 While this role is remote it does require a few days of travel per month to either Louisville Kentucky, or Nashville Tennessee, or Philadelphia PA. (company will cover expenses for travel)

Our rapidly expanding wholesale company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial growth and success. As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial operations, including month-end close, intercompany transactions, inventory accounting, and fixed assets. If you are a hands-on professional who is ready to roll up your sleeves and dive deep into the financial operations of a thriving business, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
 Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and check runs.
 Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations.
 Coordinate and complete annual audits.
 Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
 Coordinate activities of external auditors.
 Provide recommendations to improve systems and financial performance.
 Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
 Coordinate with international branches to ensure smooth financial operations.
 Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
 Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
 Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
 Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management.
Qualifications
 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A MasterÂs degree in Business Administration (MBA)
 Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
 Experience with NetSuite is a must (ideally experience implementing NetSuite)
 Experience with intercompany transactions required
 Experience with Inventory Accounting highly preferred
 International accounting experience is a plus
 FloQast software experience is a plus.
 Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
 Experience in intercompany transactions, inventory accounting, and fixed assets.
 International accounting experience is a plus.
 Hands-on experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
 Excellent accounting software user administration skills.
 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
 Excellent communication and leadership skills.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
 Proven ability to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on in a high growth, fast-paced environment.
 Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
 High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
