We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team in a remote capacity, based in Illinois. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the accuracy of specialty medication orders. Key Responsibilities:
Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including calculating doses and assigning directions
Verify insurance payment and ensure timely processing of patient orders
Communicate with doctor's offices and insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies
Answer patient calls to coordinate and process new medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits
Demonstrate excellent communication and data entry skills, with a strong focus on patient care and satisfaction

Requirements:
6 months of experience working in a pharmacy
Active and valid Pharmacy Technician License and/or Certification in the state of Illinois
6 months of experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office and internet navigation
Excellent communication and keyboarding skills, with the ability to sit or stand for long periods
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications:
3 months of experience handling customer needs over the phone
Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, and prescriptions
Medical billing, coding, or medical assisting experience
Customer service experience in an office environment
Strong knowledge of computer programs and excellent data entry skills
