Our team is hiring for Remote Pharmacy Technicians. Responsibilities include approving or denying authorizations and sending some to Pharmacists for final review. You will handle all health plans and all types of medications. This role is 100% computer-based with little to no phone work.
Responsibilities
Ā Process prescription exceptions which may include: resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach.
Ā Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
Ā Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
Ā Escalate questions regarding prescription to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
Ā Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.
Requirements
Ā Registered pharmacy technician ( NO EXCEPTIONS)
Ā Must have a HS Diploma/GED
Ā They will accept any backgrnd in pharmacy - as long as they have strong computer skills and a Pharmacy License
Ā Top candidates have managed care or Prior Authorization experience.
Ā Strong computer skills
Ā Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation
Work Environment
Ā REMOTE Role ( STRONG WIFI REQUIRED, OFFICE SPACE TO WORK)
Ā They will provide equipment - computer, monitor, head set.
Shift: Must be open Monday-Friday 8am-7pm in the time zone they live in. Rotating weekends. Will enter into a rotation for weekends, won't be working every weekend or every other weekend, but every 4-6 weeks. Must be able to work holidays. They will bid for Holiday schedules!
Ā Lunch is 30min to an hour depending on team/business need.
