[Remote] People Ops & Payroll Specialist

They are seeking an enthusiastic People Operations & Payroll Specialist to support HRIS, payroll processing, and administrative operations within their dynamic People team.ResponsibilitiesSupport the administration and maintenance of our HRIS (ADP) including employee records, job data, and reportingEnsure data accuracy and consistency across systemsAssist in optimizing workflows and processes within the HRIS platformAssist with system implementations, upgrades and integrationsPrepare monthly and quarterly reportsPartner with the Payroll team to help ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for U.S. and international employeesAssist with payroll audits, data entry, and reconciliationsSupport compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulationsOwn and execute a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks across the People teamSupport onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experienceAssist with compliance tracking, employee verifications, and reportingCollaborate with internal teams such as Finance, IT, and Legal to support employee-related processesJump in where needed to support broader People initiatives and projectsSkills1-3 years of experience in People Operations, HR, or payroll (internships and early career experience welcome)Familiarity with HRIS systems (ADP experience strongly preferred)Basic understanding of payroll processes and complianceAnalytic mindset with strong problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAdvanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Google Slides, with the ability to create professional-level reports, spreadsheets, and presentationsBenefitsEmployee-centric benefitsSupport your physical and mental well-beingPromote work-life balanceFuel your professional growthCompany OverviewApplause is a crowd-sourced digital quality testing enabling companies to deliver digital experiences to their customers.
