You will be responsible for conducting monthly and quarterly business audits with payment card organizations, analyzing complex financial data, and presenting your findings to senior management. Key Responsibilities
The Payments Analyst role at arenaflex encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities designed to develop well-rounded financial professionals. Your primary duties will include:


Business Analysis and Problem Solving (25%): Conduct comprehensive business analysis to fully understand operational dynamics. Identify and implement process and organizational improvements that drive efficiency and effectiveness. Design and ensure execution of financial department objectives, including annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
Financial Planning and Strategy (25%): Develop strategic frameworks that integrate financial products and services into core business operations and new strategic initiatives. Own and manage projects to ensure timely completion and optimal quality. Create and execute detailed project plans and implementation strategies that align with organizational goals.
Data Analysis and Reporting (25%): Collect and analyze data for presentations to senior management. Provide project support and guidance to other team members. Review and adjust project plans and decisions as appropriate to meet evolving business needs. Prepare monthly payment metrics and performance dashboards.
Program Evaluation and Implementation (25%): Evaluate financial and operational quality consequences of new programs against predetermined objectives. Determine whether programs should be implemented, make recommendations to senior management, and assist with developing execution strategies when applicable.
Support the administration of key seller connections and merchant relationships
Attend monthly and quarterly business audits with payment card organizations
Perform daily examinations that may impact business performance and decisioning
Collaborate with various professionals and stakeholders as needed
Learn, maintain, and enhance digital reporting processes
Use data visualization to demonstrate performance of business KPIs
Assist with the resolution and monitoring of payment card network compliance issues
Fulfill ad-hoc requests and complete special projects as needed
Acquire new skill sets as required to support the needs of the Payments Group and Financial Services Division


Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
Work Experience: Previous experience in financial services, payment processing, or related field preferred
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Analytical Abilities: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
