As a key member of our Revenue Cycle Management department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely posting of payments, adjustments, and denials for our FVC Center locations. As a Remote Payment Posting Representative, you will be an integral part of our team, working collaboratively to drive success and achieve our mission. Key Responsibilities Process payments, adjustments, and denials for FVC Center locations via paper Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or electronic remittance files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Reconcile payment entries with daily bank deposits for the appropriate FVC locations, identifying and escalating discrepancies as needed. Utilize medical billing software applications (Medical Manager or Imagine) to apply transactions to the appropriate accounts, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation. Maintain and update the Denial Batch Manager log, reviewing and addressing denied claims and under/overpaid claims. Generate reports, including Cash Collections and payment application reports, to support departmental needs and goals. Provide assistance to junior staff with general support tasks, as directed by immediate supervisor. Escalate complex issues to Team Lead or supervisor, as necessary, and assist with various projects as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of related experience in medical billing or collections, with a strong understanding of payment applications and healthcare software. Excellent mathematical aptitude, with the ability to accurately process transactions and reconcile discrepancies. Strong knowledge of Windows-based software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders. A positive attitude, strong organizational and time-management skills, and a team-oriented approach. Preferred Skills and Competencies In addition to the required qualifications, we prefer candidates with: Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and healthcare software applications. Knowledge of government contracts, Medicaid, and Medicare regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
