[Remote] Patent Agent: EE/CS

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Diamond Personnel is a global law firm seeking a patent agent with a wireless background. The role involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications, analyzing technical documents, and collaborating with inventors and legal teams throughout the patent application process. Responsibilities • Draft patent applications and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). • Analyze scientific or technical documents, including previously published patent documents, to assess an invention or issued patent. • Draft detailed descriptions of inventions in precise legal terms (patent drafts), which form the basis for patents to be granted by patent offices in various parts of the world. • Communicate and act as a liaison between inventors and the Patent & Trademark Office in connection with all aspects of the patent application process. • Discuss scientific aspects of inventions with clients and inventors. • Keep up to date with legal developments in the intellectual property field. • Work closely with lawyers to support patent litigation, perform due diligence, and support other legal activities. Skills • Must have a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or an equivalent discipline. • Patent prosecution experience in 5G, Wi-Fi, or other wireless technologies. • Admitted to practice before the USPTO. • Relevant experience in one of the following technologies: memory systems, image processing, RF front-end, autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, computer vision, or related AI fields is a plus.
