Hours: 10-20 per week Compensation: $28-$45 per hour DOE Contract Type: 1099 Contractor Location: Remote with occasional in-person meetings as needed ABOUT THE FIRM Our firm focuses on three primary areas: Family Law (divorce, parenting plans, modifications, guardianship) Tribal and Civil Matters (Indian law issues, civil disputes, evidence support) Business and Contract Support (small-business agreements, entity filings, contracts) We maintain a professional, trauma-informed, client-centered approach. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Draft declarations, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence Prepare exhibits, hearing packets, and organized case materials Maintain structured digital files and organize evidence Manage deadlines, calendaring, and Washington State court filings Communicate with clients with professionalism and emotional steadiness Assist with MyCase, billing entries, and workflow organization Support basic business law tasks (contracts, entity documents, filings) Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years paralegal or legal assistant experience (family law preferred) Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail Reliable, consistent, organized, and self-directed Calm under pressure and able to handle sensitive matters professionally Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines Experience with MyCase or similar systems preferred Familiarity with Washington court rules and procedures is a plus This is a good fit for someone who wants steady contract work, flexible hours, and the opportunity to support meaningful cases with a small, high-integrity firm.
