The role involves submitting insurance claims, processing payments, and communicating with patients and therapists regarding billing matters. Responsibilities • Manage insurance and self-pay billing for mental health practices • Submit insurance claims through EHRs • Process co-pays and self-pay credit card payments • Generate and send superbills to patients • Communicate with patients and therapists as needed in regards to billing • Appeal denied claims from insurance companies • Troubleshoot rejected claims • Perform benefit eligibility checks for new patients Skills • Experience in insurance billing • Ability to manage insurance and self-pay billing for mental health practices • Experience submitting insurance claims through EHRs • Experience processing co-pays and self-pay credit card payments • Ability to generate and send superbills to patients • Ability to communicate with patients and therapists regarding billing • Experience appealing denied claims from insurance companies • Experience troubleshooting rejected claims • Ability to perform benefit eligibility checks for new patients • Experience in mental health billing Company Overview • We provide virtual administrative support to psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors and therapists.
