Position Overview We are seeking a remote, part-time Medical Biller with proven experience in out-of-network surgical billing. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in billing for vein, pain management, and spine specialties, understands complex payer policies, and has hands-on experience with appeals and payment negotiations. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit claims for out-of-network surgical providers. Ensure proper coding and modifier usage (CPT, ICD-10). Review EOBs, handle denials, and process appeals. Follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims to ensure maximum reimbursement. Post payments accurately and reconcile patient accounts. Communicate with insurance carriers and providers to resolve billing issues. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer guidelines. Qualifications 2+ years of medical billing experience, preferably in surgical specialties (vein, pain, spine). Strong understanding of out-of-network billing, appeals, and negotiations. Proficiency with billing software (AdvancedMD, Kareo, or similar). Knowledge of New Jersey payer regulations preferred. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
