REMOTE Part-Time California Employment Law Associate

Our clients include franchisees of global corporations, Fortune 500 companies, and small businesses.
Part-Time CA Employment Law Associate Position:
• Attorney will provide advice and counseling, training, and policy development for franchisees of global quick service restaurant franchisor, located throughout the state of California;
• Must be licensed in California (though need not be based there), with extensive experience providing advice and counseling to employers on all aspects of local and state law (CA), as well as federal law, and extensive experience drafting and revising employer policies and providing in person and web-based training for managers, human resources staff, and business owners;
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment;
• Stellar academic credentials and verbal and written communication skills;
• Work remotely with on-going communication with and support from Illinois based attorneys and support staff;
• Billable hour expectation of 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule;
• Compensation range $75-$100/hour depending on level of experience;
• 401(k), opportunity for annual bonus and profit sharing; and
• Bi-annual to quarterly travel to CA for in-person training (all travel expenses paid by firm)
Part-Time CA Employment Las Associate Responsibilities:
• Counsel employers on compliance with full array of local, state, and federal law;
• Research legal developments and develop succinct, practical guides for clients with varying levels of HR/best practices sophistication;
• Draft and review employment policies and employee handbooks;
• Remain abreast of all developments in local and state employment law in California; and
• Develop and maintain close working relationships with clients' manager and HR staff.

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
