TIRKS LFACS background local facility - copper decomming legacy Job Description The Outside Plant Engineer position is responsible for designing additions, upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the Outside Plant electronics telephony network which includes all structures (such as poles and conduit systems), cable (copper & fiber) and associated equipment for aerial, underground, buried, and customer premise equipment. The Engineer will coordinate with a variety of Client departments and also have direct customer contact with builders, building managers, property owners, and residential and business end users. Required Skills/Experience: 1. Bachelor degree in Engineering or technical/science/mathematics fields. 2. Proficient computer skills (windows-based programs and corporate database systems). 3. Superior analytical, communication, and leadership skills. 4. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. 5. Solid written and oral communications skills are necessary. Desired Skills/Experience: (valuable, but not required to obtain the position) 1. Prior working experience and basic knowledge of telecom Outside Plant Engineering Practices and systems such as Telcordia systems LFACs, Switch, LEIS and Tirks. 2.
