Remote Operations Engineer - Amazon Work from Home Opportunity
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join our team at Amazon, working remotely from the USA. As a Transportation Engineering Services (TES) Operations Engineer, you will lead and manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional projects, developing and delivering the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the lifecycle of complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project targets and objectives
Partner with internal clients and stakeholders to engage as a team and ensure a smooth handover
Read and analyze system performance, inventing and simplifying solutions that enable advanced processes and results
Provide technical expertise to internal clients and stakeholders
Work independently with internal and external teams to efficiently manage project lifecycles
Actively participate in organization engineering reviews and make tangible impacts on proposed solutions
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field
3+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or related occupation
Experience with leading projects, programs, or initiatives with increasing scope and impact
Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated systems and/or integrated systems
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field
Operations Management/Distribution Center experience with direct responsibility for material handling, automation, or other technical projects
Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing
Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet applications
Experience with design and/or implementation of automation solutions, including Conveyors, Sorters, high-speed manufacturing and packaging lines, Robotic work cells
