Job description: Senior Remote Medical Coders (6+ Years Experience) - 12-Month Contract We are seeking highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Medical Coders to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for seasoned professionals to work remotely and contribute to our mission of maintaining the highest standards of coding accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Perform accurate and timely coding of complex medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II classifications. • Review and analyze patient documentation to ensure proper code selection and modifier usage, adhering to all official coding guidelines and regulatory requirements. • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and education on coding issues to internal teams and clinical staff. • Conduct regular audits to identify coding discrepancies and implement corrective actions. • Stay current with changes in coding guidelines, compliance requirements, and reimbursement methodologies. Required Qualifications: • 8+ years of experience as a Medical Coder in a professional setting. • Proven expertise in complex coding scenarios across multiple specialties (e.g., inpatient, outpatient, surgery, E/M). • Active, professional coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA). • Expert knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. • Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload effectively in a remote setting. Contract Details & Schedule: • Contract Duration: 12 months. • Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with mandatory work on alternative Saturdays. • Location: 100% Work From Home (Remote).
