Remote Office Assistant (Mental Health Practice)

Skycloud Mental Health is a psychiatric/mental health practice. We specialize in LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming care and treat a full range of mental health conditions direct to individuals' homes and in our offices in Oregon, Washington and Utah. The open position primarily involves administrative/front desk tasks, with the potential for assisting with contracting and credentialing as needed.

Anyone in the USA may apply, though preference will be given to those who are located in Alabama, Florida, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington State. 2-3 professional references (including a minimum of two past supervisors) will be required prior to extension of a job offer. All professional history including references will be thoroughly checked and verified. Additionally, all questions in the application must be answered for consideration. The planned schedule will be:

11-1pm PT on Wednesdays

2-5pm PT on Thursdays

1-5pm PT on Fridays

10am-1pm PT on Saturdays

This position starts ASAP and there is a potential for increased hours in the future depending on fit and company needs.

Duties shall include the following:
• Following a patient check-in process using telephone script and instructions
• Answering phone calls
• Replying to emails and messages using the Spruce app
• Seek assistance as needed and communicate appropriately with the team
• Assistance with contracting and credentialing

Requirements:
• High school diploma
• At least one year of experience working in a customer service role
• Comfortable with use of technology
• Internet access
• Interest or experience in working with LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming mental health care
• Pass a criminal background check
• Willingness to learn the principles of HIPAA and health care privacy
• Must be able to provide contact information for 3 professional references, at least two of which are supervisors OR at least one is a supervisor and one is teacher/professor/instructor

Preferred:
• Spanish fluency
• Experience with psychiatric/mental health offices
• Preference to those with experience with HIPAA and health care privacy in a professional setting
• Preference to those who have experience with contracting and credentialing

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.85 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
