[Remote] Non-QM Mortgage Underwriter
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CyberCoders is seeking a Non-QM Mortgage Underwriter responsible for evaluating and underwriting non-qualified mortgage loan applications. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company policies while assessing borrower creditworthiness and facilitating loan approvals for diverse borrowers.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Review and analyze loan applications and supporting documentation for non-QM loans
ā¢ Assess borrower creditworthiness by evaluating credit reports, income sources, and financial statements
ā¢ Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines
ā¢ Communicate with loan officers, borrowers, and other stakeholders regarding underwriting decisions and conditions
ā¢ Identify and mitigate risks associated with non-QM lending
ā¢ Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions and processes
ā¢ Stay updated on industry trends, guidelines, and best practices related to non-QM lending
Skills
ā¢ Minimum of 3 years experience in mortgage underwriting, specifically in non-QM and non-agency loans
ā¢ Strong understanding of non-QM mortgage products and guidelines
ā¢ Proficient in using underwriting software and tools
ā¢ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
ā¢ Ability to work independently and manage multiple loan files simultaneously
ā¢ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
ā¢ Knowledge of current mortgage regulations and compliance standards
