[Remote] Mercury Ignite: Data Science Graduate Development Program

Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is offering the Mercury Ignite Graduate Program in Data Science, a 12-month structured journey that provides hands-on experience across real business projects. The program allows graduates to strengthen their skills in data science while collaborating with engineers and product leaders to build impactful solutions. Responsibilities Rotate & Learn : Complete a structured rotation through different areas of Data Science, building a solid foundation in advanced analytical techniques, statistical methods, and machine learning algorithms Build & Deploy : Go beyond analysis; identify relevant data sources, perform feature engineering, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement models into production Drive Innovation : Create and maintain monitoring procedures for model performance and proactively look for ways to improve accuracy and automation Collaborate: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Intelligence, and IT teams to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable business strategies Visualize: Design automated dashboards and reports (using Python, SQL, or BI tools) to communicate results to stakeholders Skills Be legally eligible to work in the U.S Recently completed a bachelor's or both bachelor's and master's degree in a quantitative or Information Technology field (computer science, Data science, etc.) Able to provide a cumulative GPA, as reported by your school.Minimum 3.0 GPA required, 3.5 or higher GPA preferred Graduation date on or after November 2025 but no later than June 2026 Planning to seek full-time employment by June 2026 Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL are essential Solid understanding of statistical models and machine learning techniques (Regression, Classification, Clustering, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences A willingness to independently learn new tools and dig deep into ambiguous data problems Required job duties are essentially sedentary in nature, consisting of occasional walking, standing, lifting, and/or carrying ten pounds maximum Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS), version control (Git), or visualization tools Benefits Competitive salary Bonus potential Variety of benefits to help our team members reach their health, retirement, and professional goals Company Overview Mercury Insurance has offered quality insurance for personal auto insurance to homeowners insurance to mechanical breakdown protection.It was founded in 1962, and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, USA, with a workforce of 5001-10000 employees.
