Remote Medical Transcriptionist

Title: HIPAA-Compliant Medical Transcriptionist – One-Time Project Category: Writing / Transcription / Medical Transcription Job Type: Short-Term Contract / One-Time Project Description: We are looking for a highly accurate, HIPAA-compliant medical transcriptionist for a one-time project in podiatry. This project involves transcribing pre-recorded patient dictations from a secure HIPAA-compliant device into text that can be inserted into our EMR system. You will do the transcribing part. We will put it into the EMR.Project Details: • Estimated audio: 15 hours of recordings. • All recordings are HIPAA-sensitive, and you must sign a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before receiving any files. • Transcripts must be accurate, clear, and formatted professionally for EMR insertion. • Focus on medical terminology, procedures, and patient notes. • Expected turnaround: start within 24 hours and go until completion. Requirements: • Prior experience in medical transcription, preferably with EMR or insurance documentation knowledge.• Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT codes, and documentation standards. • Ability to handle sensitive PHI securely. • U.S.-based preferred (HIPAA compliance and accuracy). • Must agree to HIPAA BAA and NDA before starting. Payment / Budget: • Option A: Per audio minute: $1–$2 per recorded minute • Option B: Hourly: $20/hour (estimate based on project volume) • Exact payment can be finalized based on your experience and estimated time to completion. : • Include a brief summary of your medical transcription experience.• Confirm you can sign a HIPAA BAA and have secure means to handle files. • Include turnaround commitment and estimated hours to complete the project.
