We are now seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Scheduler to join our team on a full-time remote basis.

Position Overview

As a Medical Scheduler at TRA Medical Imaging, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our scheduling processes. This is a 100% remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home, provided you reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, GA, ID, NC, TX, UT, or WA. You will be responsible for handling high call volumes, scheduling and pre-registering outpatient procedures, and communicating professionally with patients, provider offices, and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities


Handle high call volumes and communicate professionally with patients, provider offices, and insurance companies to resolve scheduling and registration issues.
Schedule and pre-register outpatient procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Obtain and verify insurance, demographic, and clinical information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Follow compliance and authorization requirements, adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient data protection.


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:


A High School diploma or GED.
A minimum of 3+ years of medical office experience, preferably in a scheduling or registration capacity.
Knowledge of radiology procedures, insurance, scheduling, and medical terminology.
Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to navigate between multiple software systems, with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience with remote work, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.


Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:


Previous experience in a medical imaging or radiology setting.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems.
Certification in medical scheduling or a related field.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $18.73 - $22.29 per hour, based on experience. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including:
