Accurately receive and register payments and adjustments to accounts.
Post copays, deductibles, coinsurance, write-offs, and other payments in accordance with the Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
Effectively apply recoupments based on EOB guidelines.
Utilize account data for accurate write-offs related to CPT codes as instructed by payers.
Perform system transactions to accurately post daily cash receipts, retractions, refunds, denials, and adjustments.
Achieve productivity benchmarks while upholding the highest quality standards.
Manage sensitive information meticulously, in compliance with professional standards and relevant regulations.
Required Skills
Previous experience in medical billing is preferred.
Strong understanding of medical billing terminology and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
Ability to conduct effective information analysis.
Excellent documentation and time management skills.
Basic proficiency in mathematics.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience in medical billing is advantageous.
