Key Responsibilities
Ā Perform thorough quality assessments on medical claims and bills to ensure system accuracy.
Ā Input accurate information for any missing or erroneous data that the system may not capture.
Ā Validate system-generated data and ensure timely and precise entry of UB (Uniform Billing) or itemization (IB) charges into our database.
Ā Employ proprietary OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software to implement necessary data corrections or amendments.
Ā Cross-reference patient and provider information, along with general UB details, ensuring accuracy upon file receipt and prior to data entry.
Ā Input breakdown charges (itemization) into our system as required.
Ā Uphold daily production volume expectations and quality control protocols.
Ā Maintain strict HIPAA compliance during all communications and data handling.
Ā Assist team members by providing support, including onboarding and training new employees as needed.
Ā Undertake additional tasks as directed.
Required Skills
Ā Proficiency in typing at a speed of 40+ words per minute, with strong accuracy in both Alpha and 10-Key (8,000 keystrokes per hour with 90%+ accuracy).
Ā Exceptional attention to detail and independent problem-solving abilities.
Ā Capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently, efficiently navigating between various windows and systems.
Ā Familiarity with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software is advantageous.
Ā Strong communication skills.
Qualifications
Ā Previous experience in data entry is preferred, though not mandatory.
Ā Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
Ā Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
