As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in addressing patient inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring seamless interactions with our clients. Key Responsibilities Respond to inbound calls and initiate outbound calls to assist patients with medically related inquiries, providing clear and concise information. Utilize computer skills for efficient data entry, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Gather and review patient billing and medical information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Operate in accordance with Federal Health Care Program guidelines, staying up-to-date on relevant policies and procedures. Collaborate with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of patients, resolving issues promptly and professionally. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in a related field are a plus. High-speed internet with modem access to support remote work. Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills, with the ability to empathize with patients. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes (experience or training in these areas is preferred). A patient-focused attitude, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
