Remote Medical Billing Collection Specialist

Remote 8 week contract opportunity with a large health system in VA!

We are seeking Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to join the Contact Center team and assist patients with updating payment information and navigating the new billing system.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contact patients to update credit card information for recurring payment plans that did not transfer to the new EPIC system.
• Communicate changes with empathy and professionalism to ensure patients feel supported and informed.
• Offer and explain payment plan options and terms.
• Handle inbound calls related to billing questions and payment plans.
• Work from a designated EPIC work queue to identify and reach out to affected patients.
• Support overflow calls to the main billing line and assist with patient inquiries.
• Educate patients on the new billing experience and help re-establish autopay setups.

Top Skills Required:
• Medical billing customer service experience, especially handling payments over the phone
• Proficiency in EPIC
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
• Experience with phone systems and patient access workflows
• Strong data entry skills

Work Hours:
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
