Remote Medical Biller

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical billing, preferably with experience in physiatry, physical therapy, or sports medicine. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the billing cycle, from charge entry to payment posting and claims follow-up. salary: $25 - $28 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: High School Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Charge Entry and Coding: Accurately enter charges and apply appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for all services rendered. • Claims Submission: Generate and submit clean claims to insurance companies (commercial, government, and worker's compensation) in a timely and efficient manner. • Payment Posting: Post payments and adjustments accurately from electronic remittances (ERAs) and manual Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). • Accounts Receivable Management: Proactively follow up on unpaid and denied claims, appealing as necessary to ensure maximum reimbursement. • Patient Billing: Prepare and send patient statements, and respond to patient billing inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services being rendered. • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with all federal and state billing regulations, and ensure all billing practices are compliant. • Reporting: Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
