Remote Medical Assistant (Full-Time / Part-Time)

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Remote Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams in providing excellent patient care. This role is fully remote and involves administrative, clinical documentation, and patient-support responsibilities through phone, email, and electronic medical records (EMR). Duties Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by gathering medical history, medications, symptoms, and demographics Schedule and coordinate appointments, procedures, follow-ups, and referrals Update and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately Handle phone calls, messages, and emails from patients Review lab results, imaging reports, and communicate provider instructions (as allowed) Perform prior authorizations for medications or procedures Assist providers during telehealth appointments (note-taking, documentation) Manage prescription refills and send requests to pharmacies Prepare and upload patient documents, forms, and reports Provide patient education and instructions as directed by providers Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times Coordinate with labs, imaging centers, insurance companies, and specialist offices The ideal candidate is patient-focused, tech-savvy, and able to handle confidential information with professionalism.
