Key Responsibilities
Ā Process and resolve denied or underpaid insurance claims by engaging with insurance carriers, patients, and healthcare providers.
Ā Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to address inquiries and concerns.
Ā Identify and report payer trends that may affect revenue streams and reimbursement processes.
Ā Maintain adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of patient information.
Ā Ensure accurate documentation and thorough record-keeping.
Ā Follow established procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills
Ā Strong proficiency in computer applications and exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
Ā Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Ā Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding is preferred, although not mandatory.
Ā Prior experience in medical billing is advantageous; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Qualifications
Ā A high school diploma or equivalent is required; coursework in medical billing or higher education is a plus.
