[Remote] Manual and Automation Tester

They are seeking a highly skilled Manual and Automation Tester to support testing, quality assurance, and Agile delivery activities in a high-visibility environment, combining hands-on test execution, test automation, and collaboration with business teams.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Execute manual test cases and incorporate automation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce testing effort
ā¢ Validate backend systems using SQL queries and service-level testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, etc.)
ā¢ Create detailed documentation including test plans, test scenarios, and test cases using ALM or similar tools
ā¢ Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks (UFT)
ā¢ Identify, document, and track defects with clear, detailed reporting
ā¢ Serve as a backup Scrum Master, facilitating standups, assisting with Agile ceremonies, and supporting release management
ā¢ Maintain release documentation, system protocols, and process updates
ā¢ Demonstrate user stories and new functionality to customers and stakeholders
ā¢ Work with business teams on UI data updates and verification
ā¢ Troubleshoot and research ad hoc questions or support issues
ā¢ Ensure quality standards are met and defects are minimized
ā¢ Partner with Solutions Architects, Product Owners, Developers, and Managers
ā¢ Utilize Agile and DevSecOps practices to enhance delivery speed and quality
ā¢ Maintain strong documentation, organization, and communication across teams
Skills
ā¢ 8+ years in software development, QA/testing, or related fields
ā¢ Proficiency in manual testing and test automation, including UFT
ā¢ Strong knowledge of SQL, backend validations, and API testing
ā¢ Experience using HP ALM or similar test management tools
ā¢ Strong understanding of SDLC and operating systems
ā¢ Experience with VersionOne or similar work management tools
ā¢ Demonstrated experience creating test plans, cases, scripts, and reports
ā¢ Ability to analyze processes logically and troubleshoot complex issues
ā¢ Experience mentoring junior team members
ā¢ Familiarity with DevOps/Agile methodologies
ā¢ Motivated self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
ā¢ Tools & Technologies: Postman, SoapUI, AML, UFT, Playwright, JMeter
ā¢ VersionOne or comparable Agile tools
ā¢ DevSecOps and secure coding best practices
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
ā¢ PLSQL experience is a plus
