[Remote] Manager, Account Consultants (Remote)

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking a Manager for Account Consultants to drive sales growth and retention in the Mid-Market segment. This role involves managing account strategies, developing business plans, and overseeing staff performance to achieve targeted sales goals. Responsibilities • Develops account strategies in accordance with overall strategy • Works with the team and Brokers to maximize retention and growth • Manages the Renewal support/service functions essential to day-to-day account, service, productivity, implementation and retention • Develops account goals and business plan with customer • Conducts regular reviews of business performance, promotion strategies, and planograms • Forecasts, budgets, and tracks account revenues and cost for a single account • Responsible for staff development and ongoing monitoring of metrics to measure performance • Reporting responsibilities for team Retention, Incentive and Books of Business for Consultants Skills • CANDIDATES MUST LIVE IN THE MD, DC, NORTHEN VA AREA IN ORDER TO TRAVEL INTO THE OFFICES AND FOR CLIENT MEETINGS AND STAFF MEETINGS • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience • 5 years sales experience • 1 year supervisory experience or demonstrated progressive leadership experience • Current health and life license for the jurisdictions of Maryland, DC, and Virginia is required • Strong presentation skills • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Microsoft Applications • Knowledge and understanding of CRM, Excel and Salesforce, and other client management tools • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship • Experience in a health care setting in sales Benefits • Comprehensive benefits package • Various incentive programs/plans • 401k contribution programs/plans Company Overview • CareFirst.
