Remote Licensed Psychologist (Texas Required; Multi-State Strongly Preferred) – 1099

Position Overview
Stern HealthWorks is seeking a licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with an active, unrestricted Texas psychologist license to provide virtual therapy services for adult clients, including veterans and military-connected individuals.
We strongly prefer psychologists who hold licensure in multiple states, as we are expanding referral capacity nationwide.
This is an independent contractor (1099) position offering flexible, supplemental referral volume.
Responsibilities
• Provide 45-minute virtual therapy sessions (optional)
• Complete a concise, structured clinical summary note after each session (required if doing therapy)
• Maintain full clinical autonomy
• Work with adults navigating stress, trauma, transition, and functional challenges
• Provide care to veterans and military-connected individuals when applicable
Referral volume builds based on client demand.
Optional Evaluation Work (Separate from Therapy Clients)
Qualified psychologists may complete:
• Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) – $100
• DBQs – $100
• Combined IMO + DBQ package – $200
Evaluation clients are separate from therapy clients to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
Required
• Active, unrestricted Texas Psychologist license
• PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
• Professional liability insurance
• Secure telehealth capability
• Ability to produce structured documentation
Strongly Preferred
• Licensure in additional states (multi-state coverage highly valued)
• Experience working with veterans or military-connected populations
• Experience producing structured medical documentation or evaluations
Compensation
• $80–90 per completed 45-minute therapy session
• Evaluation compensation as outlined above
• Paid semi-monthly
• Independent contractor (1099)
We provide administrative coordination only. All clinical decisions remain solely with the psychologist.
