[Remote] Lead UI / Frontend Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JPS Tech Solutions is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to drive the delivery of modern, high-quality user experiences. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers, set standards for frontend architecture, and collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams to build scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Lead the frontend development team, ensuring top-notch code quality, reliability, and user experience
ā¢ Mentor and coach engineers on architecture, testing, and documentation best practices
ā¢ Collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams to turn business goals into scalable UI solutions
ā¢ Establish and maintain strong engineering processes, including pull request workflows, design reviews, and test automation
ā¢ Promote smart use of AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity and code quality
ā¢ Drive the adoption of frontend architecture patterns at scale, including Micro Frontends, and leverage monorepo tooling like Nx
Skills
ā¢ 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including 3+ years with React and TypeScript
ā¢ Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript and the React ecosystem
ā¢ Experience designing frontend architecture at scale and working with monorepos
ā¢ Strong understanding of unit, functional, and integration testing
ā¢ Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and work effectively in Agile environments
ā¢ BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
ā¢ Experience improving coding speed and quality using GenAI or agentic tools; experience integrating LLM capabilities is a plus
ā¢ Familiarity with NGINX and modern deployment patterns
ā¢ Experience designing, consuming, and integrating APIs and working with microservices
ā¢ Background in cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, Pivotal, etc.) and managing CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins
ā¢ Previous experience in fintech, especially Investment Banking or Capital Markets, is highly desirable
