Lead Controls Engineer (Material Handling) Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Controls Engineer specializing in Material Handling to oversee and direct our automation projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with control systems, PLC programming, and electrical design, ensuring the successful commissioning and operation of our material handling solutions. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of control systems for material handling equipment. • Develop and program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems using Ignition, Wonderware, and FactoryTalk. • Collaborate with project teams to define system requirements and ensure timely project delivery. • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of automated systems. • Provide technical support and training to engineering and operational staff. • Maintain documentation of control systems and ensure compliance with industry standards. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a focus on material handling systems. • Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider products. • Experience with communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus. • Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and electrical design principles. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
