[Remote] Java Developer / Programista Java

They are seeking a Java Developer to join a delivery organization providing Applications Services for a major client in the UK energy market, focusing on delivering enhancements and bug fixes within a DevOps cycle. Responsibilities • Delivering (develop, test) feature enhancements to the in-scope application products • Participating in daily scrum meetings • Extending assistance and support for the Operations team as needed; typically, when dealing with the most complex defects related to the applications code or during/after new major enhancements are released • Leveraging DevOps toolset and CI/CD environments to further optimize and scale the deployment process • Providing input into Change Management • Ensuring software and coding standards are maintained • Understanding security policies and implementing solutions that satisfy the security requirements • Collaboration with other teams in DXC as well as client in order to understand requirements, provide implemented changes overviews Skills • Knowledge and experience in the following programing languages and frameworks: Java, Javascript, Spring, AngularJS, Python • Knowledge of SQL • Working knowledge of digital delivery processes and Agile methodologies, ability to work in an Agile Team • A pragmatic and enthusiastic attitude to work • Good English in writing and speaking • Knowledge of AWS cloud (practice with the following AWS components is welcome: Lambdas, microservices, Cloud Formation templates, console) • Knowledge of React JS Library • Knowledge in the following integration platforms and frameworks: Red Hat Fuse, Red Hat • Knowledge in the following DBA: Postgres, Oracle, Mongo DB • Knowledge of Docker container hosting including Kubernetes and RedShift Benefits • Private medical care • Social benefits system • Life insurance • Multisport card Company Overview • DXC Technology is an IT and consulting services company that offers insurance software, security, and application development services.
