[Remote] IT Systems Associate

They are seeking an IT Systems Associate to assist in maintaining the availability of systems and applications while providing technical support to users. Responsibilities Assist in assuring continuous availability of University of Nebraska systems and associated applications within the infrastructure portfolio, including on-premise, cloud, and third-party hosted solutions Implement and manage servers and applications Will work closely with other specialists to troubleshoot problems, monitor services, and ensure performance, capacity and uptime meet University service level agreements within a 24x7 operation Requires regular interaction with other networking, systems, and telecom professionals in the delivery of services and with end-users to provide tier-II and tier-III support Skills Two years post-secondary coursework 1 year experience with desktop and/or helpdesk support Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, software, application administration, and hardware Experience with direct customer support face-to-face and/or remotely Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered Experience with technology research and development and procurement Experience with managing vendor interaction Benefits Flexible benefits program allowing you to customize your benefits to suit your personal needs Paid vacation and sick leave in addition to 13 paid holidays Access to career-advancing educational programs, including and employee and dependent tuition benefit applicable at any of the NU campuses Immediate vesting pre-tax retirement benefits Company Overview This is the official LinkedIn page of the the University of Nebraska System, the state of Nebraska's only public university.
