They are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to design engaging eLearning programs focused on food safety and workforce training, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities • Design and develop online training courses, including storyboards, scripts, assessments, and interactive elements using Lectora Inspire and other eLearning tools. • Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex regulatory content into structured, engaging modules. • Manage full project lifecycle: needs analysis, development, testing, deployment, and evaluation. • Apply adult learning theories (e.g., ADDIE, Kirkpatrick) to optimize learner outcomes. • Conduct usability testing and revise content based on feedback and performance metrics. Skills • 3–5+ years in instructional design or eLearning development, with 1–2 years focused on safety or technical training. • Proven success in developing courses for regulated industries (e.g., food production, lab safety, HAZMAT, FDA guidelines, FSMA, or OSHA compliance). • Strong ability to structure learning objectives, outline content flow, and build interactive modules tailored to adult learners in compliance-driven environments. • High proficiency in Lectora Inspire (desktop version), SCORM packaging, and accessibility standards. • Familiarity with Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and multimedia tools (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Premiere). • Skilled in managing timelines, revisions, and cross-functional collaboration with animators, QA, and voice talent. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Comfortable working with diverse teams and stakeholders in fast-paced settings. • Background in food safety (e.g., FSPCA-approved courses) or worker safety (e.g., utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas), including content on OSHA, HAZMAT, or quality control. • Certifications such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), ATD Instructional Design Certificate, or OSHA Outreach Trainer are highly valued.
